In my take on Oz, the Cowardly Lion is no longer with us– it’s been a long century since Dorothy visited, after all! And since even Baum didn’t use him in later books as much as he did the Tin Woodman or the Scarecrow, I don’t really feel too bad about it.
So yeah, lions and tigers (and bears and kalidahs)… BEWARE!
