Hey, don’t forget that Free Comic Book Day is coming up this Saturday! Once again Mike Sullivan (“There’s Something Happening in Crawford, KS”) and I have teamed up with a new issue of Free-for-All! to showcase our respective webcomics. I’ll be distributing copies at Lawrence’s Astrokitty Comics & More (15 E. 7th St., Lawrence, KS 66044), where I’ll be doing sketches from 2-5; Mike will be doing the same at Pop Culture Comix (9337 W. 87Th Street, Overland Park, KS, 66212). Past comics have established that Watusi is pretty well set financially– he didn’t need an emerald mine, after all– but his credit is good at his local greengrocer’s, too…

I think Brien’s on the right track – whomever that is on top of the water tower is more likely to be the cause of the problem than they are to be trying to solve what only Watusi even thinks is a problem. Maybe it’s that lemon-scented Mr. Clean, taking a bath in the water tower, and soaking the H2O with his lemony sweat? Have a great FCBD. I won’t make it as far south as Kansas that weekend, but there’s some fun stuff going on in Des Moines at Cup o’ Kryptonite and the other shops in town, too.
