The fourth panel conversation almost sounds like a landlord-tenant relationship. Maybe Emmett Elder is Watusi’s landlord? Food for thought!

I was kind of shooting for more an “annoying tho loveable despite himself” kind of relationship, as if Watusi frequently visits to chat with some observation that Emmett takes to be a complaint. Watusi is, of course, financially independent (as seen in Watusi #8 and Rap Sheet #141)…
