There are times when Dale the writer doesn’t play to Dale the artist’s strengths … and a crowd scene like this is one of those times! If this goes on for too long, Dale the artist may just quit!

Captain Fyter’s actions here may seem gruesome, but it’s my little tip of the hat to Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. While he toned down the violence in later books, that first novel featured a surprising number of decapitations!

(I think Jack was just hinting that he’d like his hat & jacket returned before Minerva leaves!)

I guess introductions are still the order of the day!
