Hope you’re all staying warm today – the snow coming down outside of my studio makes me want to go on vacation to Isla Esmerelda … or better yet, a real Caribbean island!

“Downs n’ ups”
“Comin’ through!”

A big hello to everyone who visited with me at the past weekend’s Comic Book I-Con (and to you returning readers, as well) – thanks for checking out my strip! I had a great time at the show; all the staff were super-friendly and made me feel like a superstar! Thanks to Mike Sullivan, Bobby Bierly, Bill Hook, the 501st Legion, and the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man for keeping things lively at our end of the hall!
“A wake up call”
Looks like the stories within the story are headed somewhere after all (the center tier reads better in conjunction with the center of last week’s strip, by the way)! Check back next week to see what’s in store for our travelers – in the mean time, here’s a little Halloween comic I had the pleasure of drawing for my friend Brien Wayne Powell. It’s called “Frankenstein’s Wrestler”, and I was pretty happy with it. Hope you enjoy!
P.S. – I forgot to remind you that you can see me in person at this Saturday’s Comic Book I-Con in Altoona, Iowa. Mention you’ve been following the strip and I’ll have some sort of freebie for you! Plus on Sunday, you can bid on my original artwork at the Douglas County AIDS Project’s Red Ribbon Art Auction. If you can’t make the event, you can still get a peek at my painting donated to the event – it’s in the Prairie Pond Studio & Bead Company’s storefront at 809 Mass Street (along with other art up for auction)!
“What Watusi didn’t know”
While our intrepid air travelers continue on their way towards Isla Esmerelda, I’ve been busy at the drawing table completing the latest (and long overdue) Watusi digest comic!
“Rambling about here and there”
This episode marks a real milestone for me – in less than 6 months, I’ve created more new strips than I did the last time I tried a Watusi comic strip all those years ago … and it’s been seen by more readers, too! Thanks for checkin’ in from time to time!
“With 50% more shenanigans”
And that’s the change I promised last week: a pair of ongoing tales while our erstwhile travelers journey to Isla Esmerelda! Hope you enjoy!
“Just like riding a bike”

Next week, find out how our travelers pass the time on their journey (as this strip itself goes through a bit of a change) …
