Couldn’t pass up the chance to draw Li’l Watusi again … or to give him a more typical relationship with his mail carrier, short-lived tho it may have been!

This starter panel really resonated with me after last weekend’s snowfall. Lots of people made the best of a deep snow; I saw lots of tall and well-made snowpeople in my neighborhood and on the news!
You can read another version using this starter panel, possibly my favorite single Watusi jam comic of all, right here.

Watusi’s thankful for good neighbors, and I’m thankful for loyal readers– thanks for sticking with me and my talking dog! Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!

This Wednesday’s my last chance to indulge in a little Halloween funnery with Watusi! I guess I didn’t get it all out of my system with Watusi #44, my recent monster-filled issue!

Wonder if that will keep Watusi from volunteering for everything every chance he gets? Smart money’s on “not”…

I’m not sure how semantically accurate Watusi’s dog logic is here … but it did the trick, I guess!

I’ve been playing around with my talking dog of the future character lately, working on a t-shirt design and a solo comic … neither of which are complete, but should be before next year. After all, if the year 2525 is good enough for a song, it should be good enough for a new talking dog of the future comic, right?

… in case you were wondering, this isn’t some sort of commentary on so-called “fake news”, but rather a shameless plug for this Saturday’s annual Free Comic Book Day event! FCBD is a promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to attract new readers to independent comic book stores; you can find a participating store near you here. Here’s the list of freebies you’re likely to find up for grabs.
While I won’t be sketching at a store this year, lots of artists will be, including…
Hope you find some new comics to enjoy!

It’s true, kids– I started making Watusi comics so far in the distant past… that televisions actually looked like that!

At one point I was planning to do more Li’l Watusi starter panels, but this is the only one I made. It’s not the only Li’l Watusi story I have in mind, though…
It should go without saying, but just in case: DON’T DRINK ANTIFREEZE!
