… but we’ll have to wait until next time to find out just what the Sourpuss has in store now!!
Aha! It looks like a confrontation is at … er… paw!
This episode marks a milestone of a sort for the Watusi comic strip: as hard as it is for me to believe, this episode marks the first time that more than half of the strips have not been part of the “Isla Esmerelda” storyline! Seems like so much has happened since then…
Looks like it’s on to Plan B! Hope that cat doesn’t have a different scheme in mind…
Special thanks to Dano this week for the poker tips!
Believe it or not, I did actual research for this strip! So if you ever find yourself with a hankering to learn about water treatment without all the blah blah blah, I’d recommend The Magic School Bus at the waterworks / by Joanna Cole ; illustrated by Bruce Degen (New York : Scholastic Inc., ©1986).
One thing’s for sure– that cat’s certainly driven! Let’s hope Watusi’s distaste of lemony water can keep him equally motivated…
How will this Sour Puss deal with this turn of events? Only time– and future episodes– will tell…
Oh no! There’s another ugly animal in town! Someday I’ll come up with a cute character design, but it doesn’t look like today was that day…
Thanks to all of you who visited my sketch-o-rama during last Saturday’s Free Comic Book Day! Hope you’re enjoying your drawings and comics…
Looks like things are looking up for Watusi! Maybe the sour taste in his mouth will soon be a thing of the past …
Hey, don’t forget that Free Comic Book Day is coming up this Saturday! Once again Mike Sullivan (“There’s Something Happening in Crawford, KS”) and I have teamed up with a new issue of Free-for-All! to showcase our respective webcomics. I’ll be distributing copies at Lawrence’s Astrokitty Comics & More (15 E. 7th St., Lawrence, KS 66044), where I’ll be doing sketches from 2-5; Mike will be doing the same at Pop Culture Comix (9337 W. 87Th Street, Overland Park, KS, 66212). If you’re out and about, stop in and say hi, get some free comics, and maybe even a sketch. If you can’t make it, stop by www.smearysoapboxpress.com on May 4-5th for a free downloadable version …
[May 2022 UPDATE: .pdf versions of Free-for-All! #1 & 2 (still FREE) are available from my Gumroad store!]
