And don’t feel too bad about Tik-Tok … he’s been in a situation like this before!
It’s a good thing Kirby’s spent enough time studying science that he can talk “robot”…

Looks like Kirby’s about give Tik-Tok a good talkin’ to!
I can’t decide if the many characters Baum described as having immutable facial features (not just Tik-Tok, but also Jack Pumpkinhead and (in theory) the painted-on face of the Scarecrow) is a good thing or a bad thing. While it gives me a smaller range of expressions to use for them, it can make them easier to draw…
Wha-?!? Explanations are forthcoming, I hope!

I’ve been trying to avoid reading other peoples’ takes on Oz characters, but I have heard that Tik-Tok often turns out to be more sinister than he was in Baum’s books. I hope I can treat him well…

Or maybe not so private …
“Whew”, indeed! I hope that encounter’s not going to discourage Kirby’s efforts at escape!
(By the way, if anyone has a better idea for an “Ozzy” sport name, I’m open to suggestions…)

Uh oh– maybe everyone’s attention wasn’t focused on Watusi when the gang entered the Emerald City…

Uh oh– did Kirby just blow his cover?
